Obstructive Sleep Apnoea (OSA) is the repeated cessation of breathing during sleep due to the partial or complete collapse of the upper airway. This collapse is associated with a continued breathing effort, lack of oxygen in the bloodstream and disrupted sleep. Symptoms of OSA include (but are not limited to) snoring, night-time choking or coughing, excessive daytime sleepiness, morning headaches and poor memory or concentration.
